This one meant something. After making it to the championship in the previous tournament and getting double dipped in the finals, this was our first tournament back. We had a point to prove, so we went out and ran the table: 5–0 on the day.

That final against Black Gold was a classic. They came out swinging and emptied all four of their home-run-limit shots in the first inning, digging us into a 0–16 hole. We slowly chipped away inning after inning and walked it off 18–17 (on a homerun), one of the best comebacks any of us can remember.
The win also came with a cool $2,000 in prize money. The team voted to roll it straight into future tournaments so there’s plenty more Reapers softball on the way.
